Be An Angel was started in 1986 by a volunteer parent in an attempt to help a student with special needs at T.H. Rogers School in Houston, TX. The child’s family was financially unable to purchase a wheelchair. Our original founder organized a group of parents to secure the wheelchair for the child. Thereafter, Be An Angel created a small Christmas program, providing gifts to the special needs children at the school who might otherwise not receive any. That started our Christmas Gifting Program which has grown and is currently serving over 6000 children with special needs across the state of Texas. In January, 2022 we proudly expanded our wings to launch a Dallas/Fort Worth chapter.
