At just five years old, Nancy has faced challenges and obstacles that most of us have never experienced.
Since being born with Spina Bifida at the lower lumbar position, neurogenic bowel/bladder along with other medical conditions, Nancy has seen the inside of a hospital most of her young life.
Nancy is unable to ambulate, is completely dependent on her family to take care of her daily needs and relies on a wheelchair for mobility.
Her parents have worked hard to provide and seek the medical care Nancy requires, but without insurance coverage, are unable to purchase a wheelchair that would allow for neutral spinal alignment along with all the safety features to ensure she can be transported safely.
A new wheelchair would not only ensure that Nancy is transported safely but would give her the opportunity to join the family in daily activities and maybe one day become more independent!
