The purpose of the Respite Care Program is to provide skilled care for medically fragile children with multiple disabilities during the summer and/or holiday season.

Summer programs are unable to accept children who require constant medical care often making it difficult for the parents of these children to maintain consistent physical development. Did you know that once a child has been removed for two weeks, their development skills need to be re-retrained? Development for these special children depends on day to day activities tailored for their specific needs. Respite care provides developmental care for these children and provides the parents with a few hours per week to take care of their personal needs and the needs of their families.

Be An Angel introduced Summer Respite School Care in 2002 serving 16 multiply impaired children in Aldine ISD and now has expanded this wonderful program to serve over 200 children in 2013.
