| The weekend of September 13-15, 2013 special needs children under the age of 22, along with other immediate family members, will enjoy a barrier-free, caring environment full of fun and fellowship. Camp Be An Angel takes place at Camp for All in Burton, Texas. The 206-acre camp features 100,000 square feet of facilities, specially geared to those with chronic illnesses or disabilities through a host of unique programs and activities. The facility is designed to foster a complete family camping experience (in cabins) with wide, gently sloping concrete walkways linking facilities to maximize mobility for campers in wheelchairs. The entrances to all buildings and areas are wheelchair accessible. Everything is well thought out and oriented toward the children’s safety and enjoyment. Medical personnel will be available during the weekend as well as a respite cabin to provide any needed down time. |
