Dear Loyal Be An Angel Friends,

The biggest fundraising time of the year, the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, are once again upon us.  I first became involved with Be An Angel and the families and children it serves 28 years ago in 1988.  I have been involved ever since.  It has been one of the great blessings and privileges of my life, along with my family and our KSEV Radio listening audience, to have the opportunity to serve these families and children in need.  They are truly God’s little angels.

Life comes at us hard sometimes and throws us curves we do not expect. The special needs children and their families that Be An Angel serves, often have no other place to turn for help except our charitable foundation.  They spend their life in loving caregiving, which in itself can become a daunting task while also facing the challenge of the limited resources available to them.  They are hesitant to ask for help, but when they do, they know that they can count on Be An Angel to be there for them.  Of course, Be An Angel is only as strong as those who support it.  It would fail in its mission without your generous tax-deductible financial gifts, and volunteer time throughout the year.

It is my honor to once again spearhead Be An Angel’s Christmas Gift Giving Program, one that brings smiles and joy to over 5,000 special needs children during my favorite time of the year.  Moreover, because of your ongoing faithfulness and support, Be An Angel has been able to accomplish so much more through their year- round programs as well.  Critical individual adaptive equipment, hearing aids, respite time for families, and Camp Be An Angel are examples of assistance delivered with high standards of excellence and quality.  A gift from you brings hope to those whose lives have been turned upside down and provides relief when they feel swamped with the ever-rising tide of discouragement.  Raising a special needs child is a 24/7 never ending task and although our parents would not trade their situation for all the money in the world, they write, call and email us time and time again relaying the appreciation for the differences Be An Angel makes in the lives of their children.  Be An Angel takes NO federal, state or local government funding.

Year after year thousands of folks just like you have made our children and their family’s dreams come true with your generous help each year at this time.  I am asking you once again to join my family in helping these precious children and their families.

Using the enclosed self-addressed return envelope, we ask that you sponsor a child for $50; any amount that you are able to give is greatly needed and appreciated.  We are offering our Limited Edition Be An Angel bear with your contribution of $100 and with your donation of $200 or more; we will send you our new Be An Angel Christmas ornament for your tree, recognizing our thirty years of service to our special needs community.

I hope that you find it in your heart to continue to help us help the children this year and make a difference.  The Lord will honor and multiply even your smallest efforts as your influence continues for generations to come.  Thank you for considering our “angels” as beneficiaries of your generosity as we enter our 30th year of service.  May God bless you and your family this holiday season and throughout the coming New Year.  On behalf of the children, I thank you.

With a Grateful Heart,
