Marti Boone
Executive Director
Marti Boone’s 18-year career in social service
has allowed her to assist many families within the
Houston area. She has been the Executive Director of
Be An Angel Fund since January 2002. She originally
came to Be An Angel in 1999 as an independent grant
and volunteer coordinator. Before her involvement with
Be An Angel, she served 10 years as Executive Director
for a social service agency in Montgomery County. She
also worked as the Vocational Marketing Director for
Vocational Services with Tri-County MH/MR. She has
served on various non-profit boards. She also has played
an active role with Bible Study Fellowship. She has
received numerous leadership and non-profit awards
including a commendation from then Governor and now
President Bush for her efforts in energy assistance
for the poor. When Marti is not trying to raise money
for a worthy cause, she is praying for safety for her
son, a US Army pilot currently stationed in Iraq or
managing the financial affairs of her Texas Tech senior
daughter.
