November 14th- 18th – Help shop!

Be An Angel will be shopping for children at various shopping locations

Each child has an individual wish list and Be An Angel funds the purchase of all of the gifts

  • Assist at the end of the checkout line to help bag toys, zip tie and place bags in bins
  • Transport bags via cart from the store to the trailer in the parking lot
  • 8:00am-5:00pm every day

December 6th – Help unload and sort!

  • Gift bags will need to be unloaded from an 18-wheeler and sorted by school

December 7th – Decorate gift bags

  • Be Creative! We will be decorating the bags to give each one a festive appearance
  • Materials such as stickers and bows will be available or you can bring your own

  • 9am – 6pm

December 8th – Help Deliver!

  • We will be delivering the gifts to the schools we serve throughout the greater Houston area
  • Volunteers select schools to deliver gifts – transport in their private vehicles
  • A map showing address and directions will be provided

  • 7:30am-12:30pm (or until distribution is complete)


December 10th- Calpine Elves on the Run

  • 100 volunteers needed to assist with Houston’s only night-time holiday run
  • Volunteers needed in various shifts from 9:30am-9:00pm

November 12 – December 24 – Be An Angel Train, Train Drivers and Donation Collectors  

  • Each weekend beginning with Saturday, November 12th (the only Friday it runs) and ending Saturday, December 24st, the Be An Angel Train makes continuous a trips in a circle around and through Old Town Spring carrying passengers that have donated to support the special needs children we serve.
  • Two person teams are needed to drive the train and collect funds. The train is a John Deere lawn mower with an accelerator clutch (just push the accelerator and it goes) and is easy to start, stop, drive, and navigate. Saturday times are from 10am to 5pm. Sundays are from 1pm to 5pm.
  • We welcome service clubs, parent/child groups, school or church organizations!
